Okay, I'm a Crappy Blogger.

So here's the deal. I haven't suddenly started living a life of leisure. It's just that I'm now in a steady state with the workout and I think writing it all down is a bit much. In general though, I'm doing the following...

- Jiu Jitsu 5 times a week in a good week. Recently that's included private lessons with Marcos "Loro" Galvao, which have been amazing. Loro is really helping my game. He really is incredibly talented.

- P90X twice per week. Essentially I'm in maintenance mode here. I concentrate on upper body and rotate the workouts every 4 weeks.

As an example, I'm currently doing "Chest and Back" on Mondays and "Shoulders and Arms" on Thursdays.

I'm also trying to work the 1 hr "Max" Insanity workouts in on the days I dont do jiu jitsu or P90X and the 30 minute Insanity workouts if I'm also doing something else.

So.. there you have it. When something changes, like P90X 2 comes out, I'll be right back here blogging it up!

Friday 06-25-2010: Max Interval Plyo

I've looked everywhere for the chest strap for my heart monitor and I have no freaking idea where it is. I'll have to keep looking.

The pas two weeks have been rough insanitywise. It's taking a toll on the old back and legs so I'm having to cut back to no more than every other day, and I needed some recovery time.

Basically in the meantime I've traveled to San Jose for work, and continue standard interval cardio and P90X workouts twice a week.

Today's was a killer!

Monday 06-14-2010: P90X Chest and Back, Ab Ripper X, Insanity Fit Test 4, Insanity Max Cardio Circuit... and BJJ. Seriously.

Hell of a workout day! RAWRRRRR.I got a much better cardio workout with many more calories burned since I did the fit test first.. by the time I did my actual workout warmup I was starting at 120bpm instead of my normal resting hr (~65 bpm)

Also, I'm psyched that I kicked ass on the fit test. On fit test 3 I had a LOT of trouble because it was essentially my first day back after a 4 week layoff due to the broken toe.

Saturday 06-12-2010: BJJ and P90X Shoulders and Arms

Ugh. In class today I think I hyperextended my right elbow which made doing biceps pretty torturous. I'm gonna take a rare day off tomorrow to see how it is. If its not better I  might have to go get it looked at. Bummer.

Great workout with Lane though, excellent class, lots of rolling.
