This past holiday weekend I was in Las Vegas for the UFC Fan Expo and UFC 114. What an amazing time! the workout facilities were good.. but not great. I ended up doing some cardio on Friday Saturday and Sunday, and did P90X Shoulders and arms.. but I didnt blog about it.
The toe is feeling a lot better so I'll be back to p90x on Sunday
Jiu jitsu went really well today. I didnt suck nearly as much as I thought I would. I still can't run in place or do any sort of pliometrics, but I'm thinking I might just tape it up and start Insanity up again on Thursday in Las Vegas.
BTW, very excited about going to Las Vegas on Thursday for the UFC Fan Expo. I'm not sure if I'll be competing in Grapplers Quest on Saturday, although I'm registered.
This is basically a day off for me since I'm traveling home from Denver tonight at 5:30. I got up at 6 to do 30 minutes of cardio though because otherwise I'll feel like a total lump.
I'm planning to go to Jiu Jitsu tomorrow and Saturday, then I've got that private with Loro. I'm really hoping the foot is okay for all that. I tried warming up running in place today, and it's just not happening.
Hopefully I can get back into Insanity and pick up right where I left off next Thursday.
Not a lot of exercising is going to be done on this trip. It'll be probably 39 hours of driving and a day or so in Ohio at Rafa's Brother's gym (www.Ohiomma.com). Should get at least one class in, though.
I'm starting to think that in some ways my smashed toe was a seriously good thing. I'm loving the Insanity workout but its a good thing to mix up the cardio.
When I get back on the Insanity (maybe Wednesaday, making it a full week off to let the toe heal) I'm only going to do the daily Insanity routine ONCE, and then do interval cardio for 30 or 45 minutes as my second cardio workout (and BJJ and weights too)
Funny note.. when I got off the elliptical today and limped back to my apartment I got some seriously weird looks. I went from pushing up to 162 BPM and 14 mph on the elliptical to limping like an 80 year old. Apparently that's weird.
Insanity is on hold for me.. I really messed up my toe in class last night in Jiu Jitsu. The whole right side of my foot including my little toe is pretty black right now, and I'm limping a bit. I tried the warmup for today's Insanity.. but WHOA did that hurt.
Instead, I went to the Marriott gym and did interval cardio on the elliptical. Here are the stats.
Yeah today was rough. I was awoken by the Carmel Limo guy calling me at 5:10am to remind me about my 5:15am pickup. Good times! Excellent that I'm a night before packer and preparer.
So, I dashed out and didnt get to do my workout til 6pm PT.

Weird workout. It FELT hard but these numbers arent really portraying that. In other news my abs are KILLING me from Ab Ripper X yesterday. Excellent! I gotta do it at least 2x/week though for maintenance.
